GLUE-ON (bat)
The latest design from ATS: a glue-on transmitter specifically designed for most any species of bat, which attaches to the skin of the scapular region of a bat with glue or epoxy, e.g. Skinbond surgical cement (Smith and Nephew United Inc., Largo, Florida). Transmitter retention time is variable depending on any number of environmental factors. Field range is comparable to other attachment methods with external whip antennas.
A number of different transmitter sizes are available; the smallest is .50 grams. This transmitter series is labeled "Avian" on the specification sheet, since the models are used interchangeably.
